Locum Tenens OB Hospitalist Need in WI

Job Description:

• Minimum of 3 years active experience
• OBGYN Board Certification
• WI License - must be enrolled in WI comp fund prior to applying
• 24 hr shifts ( cannot be consecutive, must have 24 hr period in between)
• Projected Deliveries: 304 unassigned from hospital delivery 1321 Hospital annual delivery volume Delivery Assists: 47, Total C/S rate of 35-40%, Primary C/S rate 22%
• OBED Visits: 941 by hospitalist team, 1321 total hospital triage volume
• NICU: Level 3
• Circumcisions: No
• OB/Gyn Hospitalist Duties:
• Back Up Call: Employed group providers covering 1:4
• Consult Expectations: Expected to respond to consults as soon as requested unless you are in the middle of a clinical situation that precludes you from responding immediately (such as delivery, surgery, etc.) The note should be in the chart prior to the end of your shift. However, we do ask that you communicate your recommendations to the requesting provider once the consult is complete in case you are not able to get your note completed immediately.
• Surgery Assist: APCs (NP/PA) from clinic trained for surgical assist, surgical assists are backup
• Neonatology: Level 3 NICU, keeps 23-24 weeker, viability drives decision. Employed providers & 3 NPs provides Neonatology. Onsite coverage 24/7; attends all C/S and any provider requested vaginal delivery.
• MFM: MFM with hospital privileges (average 4-8 antepartum patients per day); doesn’t deliver. Available for consults.  Consults on all antepartum patients within 48 business hours.
