Requirements
- Board certification in General Surgery or Board Eligible
- VA license and VA DEA
- Comfortable in rural setting
- Phone response: 30 minutes; In-person response: 1 hour
- Required privileges: Central lines, Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colectomy, Colonoscopy, EGD, Emergency Surgery, Biopsy/I&D, Hemorrhoidectomy, Hernia repair, Port-a-cath, Small bowel cases, Thoracentesis, Chest tube placement, Assisting Gyn surgeons, PEG-tube placement
- Robotically-trained surgeons preferred
Clinical Details
- Facility licensed for 100 acute care beds
- ER: 14 beds, average daily census 60
- ICU: 6 beds
- Inpatient average daily census: 15
- OR: 3 rooms and 1 Endo suite
- OR call team, Anesthesia, Pediatrics, and OB/Gyn available 24/7
- Local/Driveable candidates preferred
- Credentialing period: average of 30 days
- Onsite hospital orientation required prior to start date
