We are seeking a General Surgeon for ongoing coverage in South Dakota. This role involves being on call during scheduled periods, with the potential for call-backs for emergency surgeries and C-sections. The need is ongoing with specific dates provided for coverage.

Schedule: Monthly – Dates and times vary based on surgeon availability
Upcoming Coverage Dates:
- June 27-30, 2024
- July 10-14, 2024
- August 7-11, 2024
- August 28 - September 2, 2024
- Thanksgiving Holiday: Pending
- Christmas Holiday: Pending
Responsibilities:
- On-call coverage for the entire timeframe
- Possible call-back for emergency C-sections and surgery needs
- Typical Procedures: Gallbladder removal, appendectomy, D&C
- Severe trauma cases will be transferred out
Job Details:
- EMR System: EPIC
- Credentialing/Privileging Timeline: 60-90 days; emergency privileges available if necessary
- Accommodation: Apartment unit within walking distance of the facility
- Mileage Reimbursement: $0.67 per mile
- Meals: Facility cafeteria serves breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday
Requirements:
- Licensing: Licensed in South Dakota
- Certifications: South Dakota CSR, South Dakota DEA
- Board Certification/Eligibility: Required
- Life Supports: BLS, ACLS, NRP, ATLS
