Coverage Details
- Schedule: 24-hour shifts
- Patients per shift/day: ~170 total hospital deliveries per month; ~18 hospitalist deliveries per month; ~270 non-delivery encounters monthly
- Coverage type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call
- Practice setting: Inpatient Labor & Delivery coverage
- Program details: GYN coverage provided through ED only; hospitalists back up Family Practice providers; OB/GYN community provider available for first assist; OB/GYN ED call backup available
Requirements
- Privileges/credentialing: CV submission to hospital required; interview process required
Clinical Details
- Support/staffing: Residency program (Family Medicine); in-house anesthesia available; first assist available from OB/GYN community provider
- Procedures/scope: Obstetric coverage including deliveries and management of OB patients; first assist duties when needed; approximately 285 procedures monthly
- Facility details: Level I NICU; no MFM onsite
