Coverage Details

• Schedule: ASAP start; ongoing call coverage
• Patients per shift/day: 3–8 patients per shift; ~650 deliveries annually
• Coverage type: Call only (beeper)
• Call details: Beeper call; 15-minute response time; call ratio 1:4; ~5 phone consults; 3–5 patients seen; ~4 admissions
• Practice setting: Inpatient; rounding required

Requirements

• State license: North Carolina license required
• Board/certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible; fellowship preferred
• Privileges/credentialing: Hospital privileges not required; temporary privileges available; estimated credentialing 15 days
• Life support: ACLS, PALS, and NRP required
• Admissions: Yes

Clinical Details

• EMR: MediTech
• Support/staffing: RN (2), MA (1); no APP supervision; no resident/teaching supervision
• Procedures/scope: Obstetrics and gynecology care including low- and high-risk pregnancy management, FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), OB ultrasound (Level I/II), amniocentesis, routine and complicated vaginal deliveries, C-sections, breech and multiple births, VBACs, repair of 3rd/4th degree lacerations, minor office GYN procedures, and operative GYN procedures; provider must have current experience performing circumcisions
