Coverage Details
- Location: CA (Northern California)
- Schedule: Weekdays clinic + day call 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, night call 5:00 PM–8:30 AM next day; weekends 24‑hr call; guaranteed 8 hrs/day (OT after 9 hrs)
- Patients per shift/day: ~5 patients per shift
- Assignment: Recurring stints May 17–25, June 1–8, July dates, ongoing through Jan 2027 (more dates possible)
- Coverage type: Locum tenens — inpatient & outpatient required
- State license: Active CA medical license required; CA DEA required
- Certifications: FLURO certification required (temporary FLURO accepted)
- Board: Board certified or truly board‑eligible within 3–5 years of residency; 2 years recent hospital clinical activity required
- Case volume: Must submit 100 cases in past 24 months for requested privileges
- Privileging: RFA 48–72 hrs; typical credentialing 60–90 days; temporary privileges possible after file completion
- Specialty: Neurosurgery — includes complex spine, cranial, endovascular, tumor, shunt, ICP monitoring, etc.
- Support: 1 PA/NP assigned; MA present; no resident supervision required
- EMR: Epic
- Trauma Level: Level 3
- Call: Beeper with 20–30 min response time; daytime call included in day rate, night/weekend billed at call rates
