We are looking for a full-time Gastroenterologist with expertise in both General and Advanced GI for an inpatient position at a central Missouri academic hospital. The role involves a mix of clinical and procedural responsibilities, with a focus on both routine and urgent/emergent cases. This position requires working on-site, with a structured schedule that includes both weekday and weekend coverage.
- Inpatient FT need - General GI and Advanced GI
- Bill Rate range: 325-600 CB: 375-650 weekday call: $375-650 Weekend/24h call: 2600-4800
- Monday through Friday ½ day of clinic and 4 and ½ days of scoping and we would like them to potentially do general gi if available.
- Saturday and Sunday: Rounds and procedures that need to be done urgently/emergently
- This rotation is usually done with night call from 5 pm to 7 am and involves urgent/emergent consultation and procedures
- Most practitioners do a week at a time covering 24/7 but if site has enough practitioners, they can break this up
- Rounding on patients in the hospital
- Doing new consults from the hospital and ER
- 500 beds
- Locum expected to be admitting physician
- Level 1 Truama
- Need to be able to do conscious sedation.
- 100% adult pop 50% hospital 50% gas
- 12 scheduled patients, 1-2 additional on average
- 3MD's on staff and 3 mid-levels
- No supervision
- Onsite lab, xray on site
- EMR: Cerner -Endovault
- 30-120 day credential
- Performing emergent procedures including GI bleeding, food boluses, foreign bodies, abdominal pain, etc.
- Facility also adds about 5-6 outpatient procedures to this rotation to fill out the day.
