    Interventional Radiology Locum Need in Michigan

    Responsibilities

    Specialty:

    • Interventional Radiology

    Location:

    • Michigan

    Clinic, Call, or Both:

    • Clinic
    • Inpatient consults
    • Outpatient clinic visits
    • Inpatient and outpatient procedures (paras/thoras)
    • 60% outpatient, 40% inpatient
    • Trauma coverage
    • Emergency Call coverage

    Schedule:

    • 8a-5p covering inpatient consults, outpatient clinic visits, performing procedures including biopsies, outpatient scheduled procedures and inpatient emergencies. Oversee APPs during daytime hours.
    • Call 5p-8a for 7 days, includes Christmas day or New Years Day
    • 12/25 - 12/30

    Cases/Procedures:

    • General invasive interventional radiology procedures
    • 9-10 procedures per day, including OP and IP. Typically, performing biopsies, kyphoplasty, port placements, para/thora, etc.

    Clinical support:

    • Supervising physicians
    • 3 full time APPs who perform procedures and do IP consults – yes, the locum will be supervising

    EMR:

    • Epic

    Required experience, training, and certifications:

    • Subspecialty Certification by the American Board of Radiology in Vascular and Interventional Radiology or CAQ in Vascular and Interventional Radiology by the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology or the equivalent board in another country which is recognized by the American Board of Radiology. ACLS, BLS.
    • All certifications must be from the American Heart Association
    • 5 cases proctored

    Case Logs:

    • Must be able to produce for credentialing purposes, 50 Cases within the past 12 months
    • For new graduates, the fellowship training log(s) should be provided to document experience within the last 12 months. All other applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have performed and/or interpreted at least 50 vascular and interventional radiology procedures, reflective of the scope of privileges requested, in the past 12 months. (American Heart Association) AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification and AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification are encouraged.

    Consider IMLC or waiting for a license:

    • Will consider IMLC

    Credentialing Timeframe:

    • Typically 30 days, but applications are prioritized according to start date
