Gastroenterology Job at UPMC Cumberland, MD

Job Details UPMC Cumberland is seeking a Gastroenterologist for both outpatient and inpatient coverage. The position offers flexibility with potential for both ASC and clinic work, as well as inpatient responsibilities including consults and procedures. This role does not require ERCP or EUS experience for outpatient work. Providers with an IMLC in hand are encouraged to apply, though they cannot be credentialed until licensed in Maryland. *No ERCP, no EUS experience necessary for Outpatient *Will accept providers with an IMLC in hand - but cannot be credentialed until licensed   Coverage Needed:

• Outpatient needs: providers who can cover the ASC and/or same day surgery center MWF 7a-330p and the clinic 8a-430p Tues/Thurs
• Dates: 10/23-10/27, 12/04-12/08, 12/18-12/22
• Inpatient needs: Call with rounding, consults and procedures
• Dates: no open dates for IP - backup strength only

Job Details:

• Outpatient: Provider will split time between 3 days MWF at the ASC or same day surgery center | Tues/Thurs. 2 days for clinic |
• Inpatient: provider will cover hospital inpatients, consults, and procedures From About 8a - 430p | If Finished Early Can Leave as Long as Within 30 Min Response Time

**Outpatient GI**   M-W-F ASC/or same day surgery center 7a-3:30p T-Th 8a-4:30p clinic   *AVG Census: 75% new patients, 25% Follow Ups in Clinic for Appointments *Provider will Rotate Between Clinic and Procedures, Potentially a Higher Volume of Procedure Time v. Clinic *Clinic Volume: 10-15 patients per day   **Inpatient GI**   *Schedule: Sun-Sun 6a-6a call   *Hospitalist Covers Inpatient Besides On-Call Provider *APP/Mid-Level Coverage Available | 8a - 4p | *Consults/Followups per 24hrs: 4-6 *24hr ANES coverage for procedures *Endoscopy coverage available 24hrs *Angiogram and GI surgery coverage *No thoracic sx coverage *Estimated shifts per month: 7 Application Instructions: Please indicate whether you are interested in outpatient, inpatient, or both types of coverage when submitting your application.   Similar jobs
