OB Hospitalist Job in Florida

We are seeking an OB Hospitalist for a critical role in a Florida hospital with a Level II NICU. This position involves managing a high volume of deliveries and triage visits, providing comprehensive care for unassigned and clinic patients, and collaborating with a range of medical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. • Projected Deliveries: 123
• Delivery Assists: 346
• OBED Visits: 3,648
• NICU: Level II
• Need starts: Dec.
• Credentialing time: 90-120 days, clean file preferred.
• # Triage Rooms: 20 #ORs: 2
• Shifts are 24 hours in length, the provider must remain in-house during their shift
• Manage unassigned OB patients that present to L&D and the main ER
• OB-ED Primary Provider (OB Triage)
• Provide coverage of Obstetric emergencies
• Manage unassigned and clinic GYN patients that present to the Main ER
• Manage all clinic and unassigned patients that present to the OB Triage
• Evaluate Private Physician patients in Triage when requested
• Perform Antepartum, Post-partum and GYN rounds on unassigned/clinic patients that are on the OB/GYN Hospitalist service
• Inpatients consults
• Provide emergent GYN surgery services for unassigned/clinic patients that present to the Main ER (ex. Ruptured ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, incomplete Ab, etc.)
• Call Coverage for Private Physician groups as needed, will be responsible for managing all of their patients during the coverage period.
• Not responsible for patient phone calls while covering for the Private Physician groups
• NST interpretations, Artificial Rupture of Membranes or IUPC/ISE placement for Private Physician patients as requested
• Willing to work with Advance Practice Clinicians (APCs) as needed
• Participate in Drills/Simulations, RN education
• Participate in Residency training and education as needed
• Hospital will maintain call system for emergency backup
