Job Details:

• 1 Physician Requested
• Outpatient Setting
• Admissions Required
• Hospital/ surgery center privileges required
• 12 patients per shift

Physician Requirements:

• Board Certified/ Board Eligible
• Licensed in CA only
• No reimbursement for licensing costs
• 60-90 days credentialing time
• Trauma Level 3
• Support Staff: 1 MA, 1 PA/NP, 3 Office Staff
• No supervision of Advanced Practice Providers

Skills Required:

• Upper GI endoscopy
• --> with biopsy
• --> with foreign body removal
• --> with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser)
• --> With injection of varices
• --> With PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy)
• Small Bowel biopsy
• Lower GI endoscopy
• Colonoscopy
• --> with biopsy
• --> with excision of polyp

Skills Preferred:

• Upper GI endoscopy
• --> ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography)
• --> Diagnostic
• --> Therapeutic
• Sigmoidoscopy
• --> Flexible
• --> Rigid
• Insertion/management of Sengstaken/ Blakemore tube
